Returns On Hazardous Materials
Some of the products we sell — primarily spa and pool chemicals — are classified as hazardous materials by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT). These items can't be returned to us by mail, even though we'd like to make returns easy on every product. This page explains why the rule exists, what's covered, and what your options are if you have unopened chemicals you no longer need.
The short version: We can't accept hazmat returns by mail (federal regulations prohibit it), but we can accept them in person at our Idaho Falls, Boise, or Twin Falls showrooms. If a product arrived damaged or defective, that's handled differently — call us right away and we'll work with the manufacturer on a replacement or refund.

Overview
GLB Algimycin 3000 kills and provides long lasting protection from green, yellow and black algae. Unlike other algaecides on the market Algimycin 300 contains 2 active ingredients, including zinc sulfate monohydrate. This algaecide is compatible with chlorine, bromine, salt water, ozone, biguanide and mineral sanitizing systems.

Directions
- For maximum effectiveness, pools with a large amount of algae growth must be treated with 32 ounces per 10,000 gallons of water. After 24 hours, the algae debris must be removed by standard cleaning procedures, including brushing loose algae spots, vacuuming the pool and backwashing the filter.
- For treatment of freshly cleaned and filled pool, add 18 ounces per 10,000 gallons of pool water. To maintain pool free of visible algae growth, add 6 ounces per 10,000 gallons of pool water every week after the initial treatment. Apply this product directly to the pool water with the circulation system turned on. Allow ample time for product to be distributed before turning off the pump.
- This product is compatible with other other chemicals commonly used to treat swimming pools and it is effective in both acid and alkaline ph ranges. It can be used in pools treated with chlorine chemicals, and its use may reduce the amount of these chemicals required.
