Returns On Hazardous Materials
Some of the products we sell — primarily spa and pool chemicals — are classified as hazardous materials by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT). These items can't be returned to us by mail, even though we'd like to make returns easy on every product. This page explains why the rule exists, what's covered, and what your options are if you have unopened chemicals you no longer need.
The short version: We can't accept hazmat returns by mail (federal regulations prohibit it), but we can accept them in person at our Idaho Falls, Boise, or Twin Falls showrooms. If a product arrived damaged or defective, that's handled differently — call us right away and we'll work with the manufacturer on a replacement or refund.

Overview
BioGuard 5Â Way Test Strips show total bromine, free chlorine, pH, and total alkalinity and total hardness levels in pools and spas. These test strips work quickly and easily with just a single dip test. The results shown will be quick and accurate. Experts recommend testing pool water weekly for optimum sanitizer, pH, and total alkalinity levels.

Directions
Start-Up:
- Using the BioGuard 5-Way Test Strip dip strip in spa water.
- Using the chart on the back of bottle compare results.
Weekly Maintenance:
- Using spa test strips, test your spas water and adjust when needed.
- Ideal Range for alkalinity level: 80 - 120 ppm.
- Ideal Range for pH level: 7.2 - 7.8.
- Ideal Range for Active Chlorine: 2 - 3 ppm.
