Returns On Hazardous Materials
Some of the products we sell — primarily spa and pool chemicals — are classified as hazardous materials by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT). These items can't be returned to us by mail, even though we'd like to make returns easy on every product. This page explains why the rule exists, what's covered, and what your options are if you have unopened chemicals you no longer need.
The short version: We can't accept hazmat returns by mail (federal regulations prohibit it), but we can accept them in person at our Idaho Falls, Boise, or Twin Falls showrooms. If a product arrived damaged or defective, that's handled differently — call us right away and we'll work with the manufacturer on a replacement or refund.
GLB pH Down
Overview
Use pH Down to lower the pH of your pool water and help fend off scale formation, prevent cloudy water and most importantly, keep your swimmers comfortable.

Directions
- The most efficient and economical use of chlorine is obtained when the pH of the water is maintained at all times between the values of 7.2 and 7.8. Between these two levels, eye irritation will be reduced to a minimum and equipment life will be prolonged.
- When the pool water pH value is above 7.8, as determined by the use of a pH test kit, add 4 oz. (1/4 of a pound) of GLB pH Down while pump is in operation for each 10,000 gallons of water by distributing it into the deep end of the pool (but not near metal fittings or the skimmer).
- Allow 6 to 8 hours for distribution of the chemical throughout the pool, then recheck the pH.
